We are writing to you as we all face a challenging time together – one that is certainly unprecedented in recent history. We have been closely monitoring the situation with COVID-19 as it has rapidly evolved, and we are doing our best to anticipate its impact on our couples and our staff.
As a strategy to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Sunday (March 8, 2020) recommended (not mandated) no gatherings of 50 people or more for the next eight weeks (March 8th to May 3rd, 2020).
Since March 8, 2020, three of our couples have decided to follow the CDC’s guidelines and downsize their events to under 50 people for the sake of maintaining their event date. Event venues such as Park 31, The Milestone at Boerne/New Braunfels (and other venues owned by Walter’s Wedding Estates), Ember Ranch to name a few, will not force couples to change their event date. Instead, venues are giving couples the option to move forward with their event so long as the number of people does not exceed 50. However, not every couple will decide to downsize their event to 50 people or less. Instead, other couples seek to either postpone and/or reschedule or cancel their event entirely.
Our goal is to help our couples who have a wedding date within March 8, 2020, to May 3, 2020, reschedule their event date, at no cost.
Couples who have contracted Lens Out Loud’s services to be provided for event dates spanning March 8, 2020, to May 3, 2020, may have their event date rescheduled 1-time only to a calendar date within the months of July, August and September of 2020. Availability is not guaranteed as remaining dates may change daily. Calendar dates for October, November, and December of 2020 are not available for rescheduling. Rescheduling to a calendar date in 2021 (and beyond) will result in cancellation of the current contract and thereby a new contract will be required along with a date reservation fee to secure your desired date. Contract cancellation will proceed as outlined in the current contract. After May 3, 2020, rescheduling will require a new contract and date reservation fee
The Lens Out Loud team is taking necessary precautions to protect the health of our couples and staff by maintaining the highest levels of personal cleanliness, frequent hand washing, usage of hand sanitizers, wearing of gloves and/or masks (as needed). The Lens Out Loud team will provide photography and videography using lenses with telephoto focal lengths adequate for zooming-in to capture content up-close at events while maintaining suitable physical distances. During this time period, Lens Out Loud not provide photo booth props.
Post-Production: Photo/Video Editing
Post-production will continue as scheduled. Our editing team is able to work remotely from their homes and completely edit your engagement/bridal portraits, wedding day images, and wedding videos. On a daily basis, the editing team and the studio manager conduct production meetings online via FaceTime and/or Skype to communicate the post-production progress of all projects to ensure completion and delivery. If you have a question about your event or project, please do not hesitate to contact us at lensoutloud[at]gmail.com or call 210-596-1665.
What happens after May 3, 2020? Truthfully, no one knows. However, we are happy to have learned as of this week preliminary testing for the COVID-19 vaccine on human volunteers has begun. Though we are all a bit relieved to know testing has begun, we understand that vaccine testing can be a long process that can span years with no guarantees of a specific date of success. The Coronavirus spread could last 18 months or longer and could reoccur in waves.
Therefore, in reality, no one, including the CDC, can guarantee life will return to normal after the recommended 8-week guidelines end. Because we can not guarantee life and business will return to normal after this 8-week period, Lens Out Loud will not offer event date rescheduling at no cost after May 3, 2020. Once again, beyond May 3, 2020, requests for event date rescheduling will require cancellation of the current contract, signing of a new contract and an event date reservation fee payment to secure the desired date.
Please be aware the guidelines from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and your local government may change daily depending on the scale and rate of infections and many other factors across the country and in our local community. We will continue to operate business as usual until the government mandates us to suspend business operations in which case we can not be held liable for any failures to provide services as a result of any law levied by the U.S. government.

Moving forward, we recommend all couples who are planning weddings invest in wedding insurance (Google search) as a means to protect themselves during these uncertain times. We wish you all the best. Give us a call with any additional questions.
